General terms and conditions

1. GENERAL INFORMATION ABOUT OUR WEBSITE

By using our website, you fully accept these terms of our Rental Terms. After completing a booking with MINOAS SA it means that you, the renter has agreed and accepted all the terms of our website, therefore all items must be read and understood thoroughly.

At any time we have the right to modify these terms and conditions.

Access to our website is available 24 hours a day. On rare occasions, the search engine may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance or system updates. You can contact us by email or by telephone. MINOAS SA is committed to ensuring that the information you provide when booking is secure. When you make the reservation, your personal information is required to process the reservation (first name, surname, telephone number, credit card details, email address, home address, country of origin, postcode and date of birth). By submitting your reservation you consent to the use of this information which will be used to complete your reservation.

The client expressly undertakes not to allow any person to drive the vehicle other than those persons shown as drivers in the Rental Agreement signed, for this purpose and will be held responsible for any damage to the vehicle or third parties in such an event. The rental day is calculated on a 24 hour basis, with a grace period of 1 hour following the stated time of return or collection of the vehicle. In case of a late return, more than 1 hour, then another rental day will be charged. The company reserves the right, subject to availability, to provide a different type of car from that originally booked with one of a similar or better class.

2. LICENSE CONDITIONS

The driver must hold a licence for at least one year. The driving licence must be Greek, European (for EU countries) or International (for non-EU countries).

3. PICK UP / RETURN

The delivery and return of the vehicles can be made at any port, airport or city of Crete upon request. The company reserves the right to cancel a reservation after a one hour delay at the time of pick up if no notification has been received from the customer.

4. GEOGRAPHICAL RESTRICTIONS

Transport outside Crete is not permitted. There are new generation gps which immobilize the car at any time it appears on the motion control that it is leaving the island. This service is free of charge to our customers and helps in case of theft of the vehicle by notifying the company to locate the vehicle immediately.

5. NECESSARY DOCUMENTS

When collecting the car, it is necessary to present a driving licence, passport or identity card and a valid credit or debit card. Please note that the name of the renter must be the same on all necessary documents.

6. DRIVER'S AGE

The renter-driver must be over 20 years old. The driver must have held a licence for at least one year. Drivers aged 20 to 22 years old have access to categories A, B, C (automatic or manual) & small SUV - Drivers aged 23 years old and above have access to all categories

7. MINIMUM RENTAL

The minimum rental in MINOAS SA is 1 hour, which is defined as 1(one) day rental.

8. CANCELLATION AND CHANGE POLICY

Seventy-five percent of the total amount of the reservation will be refunded and this in case where the notification of cancellation takes place up to 15 days before the start date of the contract. In other cases no refund of payment will be made. If the vehicle is returned earlier than the predetermined date and time, no refund will be made.

9. RETURN OF VEHICLE

The Renter must return the vehicle to the agreed location and date as specified in the Rental Agreement. If the vehicle is returned to a different location there is an additional cost and is subject to prior arrangement. Furthermore the fuel policy is same-to-same i.e. the customer must return the vehicle with the the same fuel that he picked up otherwise he will pay the difference. The company is under no obligation and will not compensate a customer who returns with more fuel as long as they are informed and have agreed to our policy from the outset.

10. GENERAL CONDITIONS FOR CAR RENTAL

Customers receive the rental vehicle described in the Rental Agreement in perfect working condition, with all its documents, tyres, windows, tools and accessories, and undertake to take care of it and return it in the original condition in which they received it. Also, customers must respect and drive in accordance with the Road Traffic Code (KOK) applicable in Greece. By signing the Rental Contract, customers accept the conditions and terms of rental as defined by MINOAS RENTAL In the event of an accident, the renter is obliged to immediately inform MINOAS SA and to immediately notify the Traffic Police and the Insurance Company.

11. METHODS OF PAYMENT

We accept payments by credit cards, debit cards (Visa and Mastercard, Maestro, Masterpass), cash, PAYPAL, KLARNA, BITCOIN and bank deposit with the tenant's name ONLY ON THE SITE. EUROBANK -ALPHABANK-PEIRAEUS-ETHNIKI

Commitments can only be made by debit or credit card and are processed by the Greek Cardlink card payment company. At the end of the rental contract, they are automatically released. Each bank sets its own terms and conditions regarding the time it takes to release and credit the cardholder's account from the time the request is received until the return. MINOAS SA cannot be held responsible for delays imposed by banking institutions.

13. SMOKING IN THE CAR

Smoking is expressly prohibited in all our cars. On return, a check by company staff and a re-check in the company's garage during washing is carried out. If it is found that a car takes longer than normal to get rid of the smell of cigarettes, the customer will be fined!

14. ANIMALS & PETS

Animals or pets are not allowed inside our cars. The only way to allow them is to use special boxes, such as those used on airplanes. So here too, in the event of pet hair and the need to wet the seat, there will be a penalty!

15. LOSS OF KEY / ROADSIDE ASSISTANCE

In case of loss of key, MINOAS SA must be informed immediately to provide the spare key. The key is not covered by any insurance and is considered as a replacement key. part of the car. The customer is responsible for the cost of the key and the cost of moving the key to him!

16. FINES AND INFRINGEMENTS

Administrative Penalties arising from traffic offences committed during the period of hire of the car during the period of hire of the car shall be borne entirely by the hirer and the company must be informed.

17. USE OF THE VEHICLE BY THE LESSEE

The customer expressly agrees to the following:

  2. To respect the Highway Code
  3. Not to violate traffic lights, the STOP sign
  4. To respect the speed limits
  5. Do not drive off the road or on a dirt road (e.g. Balos beach)
  6. Do not drive under the influence of alcohol or drugs
  7. Do not use the vehicle to tow another vehicle
  8. Not to perform activities for the purpose of subletting the vehicle
  9. Not to use the vehicle for participation in competitions or sporting events, whether official or unofficial
  10. Lock the vehicle properly in a suitable, appropriate and secure place when not in use
  11. Not to provide as security, pledge, sell, lease, assign, mortgage, lend or even change or alter any part of the vehicle
  12. stop the vehicle immediately if the slightest external or internal indication of a technical defect is detected

Cancellation Policy

You can cancel your reservation free of charge through your user account or via the reservation form up to two weeks before vehicle pickup. If the customer does not show up or does not pick up the vehicle without a valid reason, or without having canceled the reservation, we reserve the right to impose a cancellation fee, the amount of which corresponds to the customer's deposit.
